Travelling to Varna
Varna Airport is located at the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, just 7 km away from Varna – the Summer Capital of Bulgaria.
How to get to the meeting venue from the airport
The best and easiest way to get to the meeting venue or the hotel from the airport is to take a taxi. Before that, it is good to withdraw cash. Most taxies take EURO, but the exchange rate is not very friendly.
Where to get cash at the airport?
The Change Bureaus at Varna Airport are located in the public area of the departure lounge, in the arrival lounge and the baggage claim area. The exchange rate should be something around 1,9.. Leva for a Euro.
Where to take a taxi?
The Taxi piazza is located in front of Terminal 1, “Departures”. But, we recommend you to order a taxi by calling the taxi company directly. See the phone numbers below.
A taxi ride from Varna Airport to the city takes about 15 minutes, depending on the traffic intensity and may cost around 15.00 BGN, depending on the taxi company delivering the service. Note that most of the taxi drivers may not speak English. The best is to have the address you need to go printed or clearly written. And if possible to have a map as well.
